Job Hunts and Job Recruiters

When I put my resume on Monster.com and some others, most of the response was from recruiting companies. Since I found jobs through them, I don't want you to think that I think they are evil, but they ARE salespeople and they want the quickest way to a deal. If they don't think you have the qualifications, you won't hear from them. If they do, you will. Simple as that. So there is no problem working with as many recruiters as are necessary for you to find the job.

Here is a link to an article on dealing with recruiters by Lynellen D. S. Perry that has a lot of valuable advice in dealing with recruiters:

Performance at a job interview

Here is some great advice on dos and don'ts in a job interview. One thing not mentioned below that was important at one of the big 5 consulting companies where I worked was that you shouldn't assume that you are to sit down when you walk into an office. Wait until you are asked to sit down. This small presumption makes a big difference in how you are perceived!
